Planning for Publication

Folks

The new Wiki seems a fantastic place to combine our efforts in pulling our creative efforts together for publication.

There seems no great rush, but I'm sure we will agree on a deadline together as the exact nature of the task becomes clear.

I am happy to provide layout and editing for the project. I would prefer NOT to be the main organiser however. We already have some energetic folk pushing the project forward (Thanks Jane, Donald, Rob ... ): I don't know if we need to formerly call for nominations, but if you'd like to contribute to the project in a organisational way, or wish to contribute maps, art etc, please speak up.

I am assuming that every member of this group is a potential author/contributor of a scenrio/seed/personality/troop unit/event.

We've have not had a reply from Jeff about the dangers of overlap with his intended project or his use of this group's background. I hope this can become clearer, but for now suggest we proceed as per our original commission, in exploring creative non-canonical variants, with the idea that players will be able to draw on both sets of resources.

My first goal is to provide a some desktopped samples: specifically of the Phases of the Campaign document and one of Jane's stories. I want to start with something concrete. The Phases document especially I hope will inspire ideas for scenarios and scenario seeds and provide an overarching unity once we update it a little.. There has already been a lot of work done on troop units and personalities.

My own creative contribution will be fragments of Kallyrkala. Like the Goddoddin from which it draws inspiration, its primarily a non-linear text, a funeral poem to Kallyr. 'Ruin' (still in the files area I think) was one of the three linear anchor points. So I'm hoping, if individual authors agree, to be able to use bits of Kallyrkala to illustrate comment and expand on individual project pieces.

Which leads me to: we need a project/publication title? Whitewall Saga? Warriors went to Whitewall? White Wall, Red Rock? Suggestions please!

Warriors went to Whitewall
Came to Kallyr's calling
Kheldon Queen called kings
True champions came.

Cheers

John
