The Lunar version of Illumination in ILH2 is *not* meant to represent the Nysalorean version as presented in RQ. It does some of the same things, but it also has its differences.

Absolutely.

Lunar illumination shows how "We really *are* all Us". Chaos is just another face of Us and should be embraced (though not necessarily *too* closely, somewhat like that one aunty you have...). Just as Seventh Soul is useful against "magics based on magical systems", it can be used to resist anti-chaos magics (including detection). (ILH2 35)

It does not "heal" Chaos in any way, shape or form. An Ogre or Broo with a Seventh Soul would still be chaotic and detect as chaos (but would be able to resist with its Seventh Soul). They might (or might not) be more accepting of their lot in life. I'd also probably let a chaotic use Seventh Soul to resist their "Chaotic Nature" (such as the ogre's Hunger, or broo's need to stick into everything)
