I would expect there to be some distinction between the craftsman who has just completed their apprenticeship and the one who has an established reputation and business. Maybe they are not formally described as journeymen but I can't see someone leaving a five year apprenticeship at 20 being regarded equally with someone aged 30 with ten years of experience working at their craft.
