Firewood Aldryami is a better name. The Redwood Aldryami are in Prax and nobody seems to have noticed their fire-loving behaviour before. On the contrary, they seem to be indisposed towards the Praxians for setting Oakfed to their forests during the Weeping Times.

There are Fire Elves who apparently live in the Sea of Flame or on one of the Firebergs but these grow on trees of actual flame rather than the eucalypts you are referring to.

As I said in another forum, the eucalypt elves would be better suited to Taluk Mormadak (in Jolar) or in Mondoro (in Fonrit) where the local humans actually have a pasttime of burning down trees they don't like.

FWIW - do eucalyt-runners look like koala bears? And do they also have drop-bears (a vicious species of koala that preys on americans)?
