I have used this part of the god's story (wherein it is some form of chaos entity which he subdues or binds with underground) to have him be a possible route into Chaos.

That is, I invented a major NPC ("The Man of the Sun") whose worship of Lodril included, via wrongs done to the NPC and his tribe in the past, a slide into the use of Chaos. All this in Alda Chur.

The NPC's son, rather suspiciously, calls himself "Lodi", has feathers on his legs, is immune to fire, eats an awful lot of grains and grows very quickly. He likes using spears, too.
