Mostali (clay ones, anyway) look a lot like chimpanzees with the whiskers of a cat. So they don't have big bushy beards, but they do have facial hair, they do have huge whiskers sticking out from the eyebrows, and around their mouths. Their faces are flat, wrinkled, without bulbous noses. They walk upright, but not elegantly. They're not suited to leaping around trees but they are agile clambering around inside tunnels. Their fingers are leathery and tough. Perhaps their feet are also prehensile, although they wear boots so no one knows.
The Planet of the Apes films would give a good guide for some facial features combined with armour, although they are not human proportioned like those apes.
