Except that the skull of Atyar is a colossal skull in the wastes. Treack didn't found the cult but was instrumental in exporting the cult to the west.

Agreed, but equally there are some magics which the Thanatar/Atyar cult derives from Treack Markhor that do not seem to have previously been available directly from Atyar (Treack Markhor is the Voice of Atyar, and he is also the source of the cult's ability to duplicate certain specialist Lhankor Mhy spells (Though the high POW cost involved also suggests that this is an early study in 'misapplied worship').Richard Hayes
