Yes, the Men of All are a spiritual elite who have achieved union with the One, liberating them from the zzaburi strictures and opening new possibilities.
> Is Hrestol's "knighthood path" related to Malkion's sacrifice? What I mean here is, was Malkion's death, presumed passage through the underworld/experience at the Court of Silence/going on to Solace a precondition for Hrestol's (similar?) journey, creating a pathway for exceptional mortals to follow?
Malkion the Founder did not go through the underworld or encounter the Court of Silence. He was destroyed and never returned. That's why lots of non-Malkioni accuse the Malkioni of worshipping a Dead God.

Lots of variation. But basically the path involves clearing the mind, overcoming the Self, and ascending to achieve unity with the One before Being. That ascension is opposed by many - Erasancula, zzaburi wizards, you name it. But once it is achieved, Joy has been reached.
