I would have to agree with everything Chris says, but then theorize further about why they would want to settle there in the first place.

My best guess is that they had once got something (treasures, some magical maguffins, hazia) from the River of Cradles, before the Closing, and some enterprising Teshnan had the bright idea of going along the coast to get it.

I guess they could have dealt with the River People, survived on a fishy diet, and perhaps settled in the area where Duke Raus later settles. There was a theory about Teshnan influence on Sun County.

I wonder if anyone knows the story of Selveteen? Perhaps it could be a campaign for Teshnan characters.
