Brithini in God Forgot and Refuge: Real Brithini settling there after the Dawn, or Ingareens remaining in the Revelation of Now? (Outsiders would have a hard time to tell the difference...)

Me:>> HeroQuest 1st edition page 44 makes it clear that the Esvulari are the people who lost their god.

Jeff:> Lots of people lost their god. The Esvularings were one of the small wretched survivors of the Darkness, scratching out a miserable existence around Mount Passant. Their god died in the Gods War but were in contact with the God Forgotite atheists and the Theyalans both. They claim their cultural hero saw through the weaknesses and blindness of their neighbors and discovered the Truth.

Would that cultural hero be Aeol, or that Hee woman mentioned in the Unknown God Church?

So they were a separate group from the Ingareens. Malkioni in origin, or by acculturation?

Survival site:
Mt. Passant is a recent city, built when Bensval was raised. Was Bensval anywhere near Mt. Passant? "scratching out a miserable existence" seems to be the norm in the Gray Age and at the Dawn. Beats extinction 100%.

> FWIW, the God Learners had quite a bit of contempt for the Esvularing philosophical pragmatism and adaptability which I believe comes over in HHP.

Clearly... it is hard to decide who the author despises more - the pagans or the heretics.
