As an addendum to the ring stuff, it should be added that, on the Five-Rune Ring (MotLD, pp. 58-9), Joseph Greenbeak (sic) takes the role of Fire.

So he's obviously a being of untold elemental mastery and power. And/or a conduck and shyster. I know where my money is!
