OK, who is organizing this quest, performing the roles and so on? Is this a quest where the local tribe or city is enthusiastically supporting, so nearly all the roles are filled by locals who know the myth and know their lines so to speak? Or is this a quest where the local Lightbringer priests are forced to summon "others" into the quest - folk who will fulfill the mythic archetypes and needs of the magical ceremony but are likely to act in surprising and unpredictable ways.
> What if the Issaries priest NPC dies during the quest? Would the quest automatically fail and end at that point or would the PCs still be able to go on to try and finish the quest without him?
Does he stay dead? What is the role of Issaries in the quest? Are the PCs willing to transform the ceremony into a trip into the Underworld with all the dangers and risks that poses?
> What if one of the PCs is an initiate of the Solar pantheon, for example, could he be able to use his solar magic normally during the Issaries quest or would that be more difficult for him as it is not appropriate for the quest?
Shouldn't affect his magic BUT it might change the results of the quest - and not necessarily for the better.
