Not most, but some. Maybe many. Some might be in contact with Joy and not see it, others might think they are but aren't. This is the time of Tribulations. For nearly a century, the New Hrestoli experiment worked *perfectly*. Those who possessed the ability and drive to serve the rest of the community were recognized and sent to the King, who assigned them tasks perfectly suited for them. It still *mostly* works, but it is getting harder. And the Elders are fewer and fewer in number ever year.

Gundreken is very old indeed and Gaiseron is even older. They knew and served Snodal, and were part of Siglat's inner council. They learned from Siglat, absorbed his teachings and wisdom and are a direct link to that remarkable person.
