Michael - I'm one of the lead writers for Glorantha (along with Greg Stafford, Lawrence Whitaker, Ian Cooper, and a few others who appear on the lists). So when I weigh in on a discussion it probably reflects stuff I am writing with Greg that has not yet been published.

Much of what is being discussed concerns areas outside the currently published areas. Sartar - which is the core setting for the bulk of published materials (which right now the only licensed publisher who IS publishing Glorantha material is Moon Design, and all future RQ Glorantha material will be completely consistent with the HQ Glorantha materials) - is well covered. If you have the Sartar Book, you basically know what needs to be known. Everything else is just gloss, details, or scenario ideas based on that. Prax and Pavis will be well-covered very soon (once the Pavis book is out).

But areas outside this core have little canonical information on them (I use canonical in the sense that future publications will rely on them and will necessarily be compatible). There's various Stafford Library book - History of the Heortling Peoples, Glorious Reascent of Yelm, Fortunate Succession, and Middle Sea Empire - which are canonical but these are deep background notes and often very difficult to make sense of.

Regards -
