Here are my opinions:

Are there Alynxes in Umathela? Yes, but only a few Are these animals present in all theyalan cultures? Not necessary.

I don't think Alynxes are part of Umathelan culture myself, not among the storm barbarians nor the Malki on the coast. Given the "early mammals" nature of much of Pamaltela, perhaps a dog like mesonychid, or a hyaenadon, some sort of racing ground sloth, or perhaps a giant otter, or a cladosictis, could serve as a herding/hunting animal. The Woodland Judgements would surely be relevant here - elf opinion being important. Perhaps Elf-friendly tribes have domesticated runners.
