 From what I know of Umathela from writing Anaxial's Roster all those years ago, there wouldn't be native cats in Umathela (although its possible they could have been imported, of course), although you could have nimravids - Hoplophoneus, Dinictis, that sort of thing. Not necessarily much use for herding, admittedly, unless you could mythically link them with alynxes somehow. Hyaeonodons would be around, maybe ground sloths at a stretch.
