Jeff:
> As far as the Moon Design canon is concerned, there was never any Zistorite cyborgs. You'll never see any reference to "mechamagic" or Zistorite cyborgs (even Sit Tobor the Visitor was an automaton, not a cyborg - and he was not a Zistorite).

Sorry:

History of the Heortling People p.55:

"Shingallion the Chief Zistorite

Shingallion is the head of the Council of Flesh and Metal. He is largely machine at this time. He belongs to the Transcendents, who believe they can be in perfect harmony with the Great Machine when it activates, and thus be immortal. He is dedicated to he machine."

I take this as canonical proof that _some_ Zistorites sought personal apotheosis by becoming like their deity.

I do take the MRQ descriptions of both the EWF and the Zistorites with some salt, but certain fanatical sorcerers fusing with their devices in order to emulate the Flesh Machine does work to some degree. I was bitterly disappointed by the "Enslaved" - skeletons with apparati don't convey "Flesh Machine" to me, I'd go for more Frankensteinian constructs or apparati steering half-living bodies, with remnants of personality intact and tormented.
