What is a wyter?
/// It's the clan's Magical Guardian, powered by all its members at ceremonies. Could be an ancestor, a local daimon or spirit, an object of power, a sacred animal, a geographical feature (tree, rock) - almost anything you like in fact. In game terms it is in fact the clan's Magic rating. Note many communities have their guardian - lunar regiments call them "lares".
The clan knows a specific myth about how it was almost exterminated by the Great Fire. What is that? Is this just fluff?
/// Oh no. It's a defining moment of the clan's genesis. It means they can resist the fires which almost killed them, so they have "Resist Fire" or "Hold back Flames" or whatever as part of their clan magics. In our orlmarthi campaing, we know there are some good and many bad fires, and we know the secret "Fight off Bad Fires".
Once, the clan lent us the Wyter's Magics to go on a mission ; we had a woopecker with us who could use the "Fight off Bad Fires" secret. We were extra careful of it - if we had lost it, the whole clan would have lost this power, and its magic rating would have gone down.
Know ritual to peacefully interact with Praxians. What's a ritual? Is it like a spell?
/// It's probably more a few words of praxian and some sacred signs that mean "I'm no bastard outlander, I'm an old friend". Means at least these savages won't charge you on sight. Also, it's with one of the praxian tribes only probably (they all hate each other, besides hating all foreigners. Prax is a bad place).
