Will this be more like the slightly different Orlanth worship of the Tradetalk issue about Wenelia?

Not to disappoint you all too much, but in the forthcoming Guide to Glorantha, Maniria is probably more populated than you think. And also more Theyalan than was presented in Blood Over Gold. That's not to say you have to change anything in your game if you are playing Blood Over Gold, but just letting folk know how that area works out for future publications.

If anyone wants the numbers, here they are: Ditali. Population 220k. Urban 21k.
Solanthi. Population 140k. Urban 12k.
West Hills. Population 10k.
Legros. Population 18k. Urban 2k.
New Coast. Population 50k. Urban 10k.
Nimistor. Population 96k. Urban 7k.
Arstola Forest. Population 230k aldryami. Troll Mountains. 20k trolls.

Comparing its density to Dragon Pass, it would seem that Solanthiland is about as densely populated as Sartar, and Ditaliland is more densely populated than Sartar. Nimistor is less densely populated.

The most important rural cults are Orlanth, Ernalda, and Heler. However, shamanism is definitely more important in Maniria than in Dragon Pass or the Holy Country. In the coastal areas, people worship spirits, broken gods, and know bits of wizardry.

In the urban areas, a Ralian henotheist sect of Malkionism dominates (Ashuranism) as described in Blood Over Gold (which does present the New Coast area - ie Fay Jee and surrounding coastland - just fine).

Hope that helps. There will be an entire chapter in the Guide describing all the tribal groups, major locations, and every urban area of more than 1000 people.

Jeff
