for me and for you
My Gloranthan canon has always been of growth and change
I spent my early publishing life rewriting every RQ Gloranthan submission
to make it right
My vision was clear, commitment total, and operating a full capacity
That is hard work. Life imposed itself.
I spent part of it figuring that, if something was not wrong, then it was
OK by me
My obligatory obsession diminished as I realized that other people had a
good grasp on the Gloranthan doorway as mine, though different
I have spent the latest part in extricating myself yet more,
To a healthy objectivity about it
With deep and sincere concern
much as I view the lives of my adult children
I have never seen the edges of Glorantha clearly, only the multiple centers
And even that moves, and has moved
Even a canonical list will be inconsistent
And I think that is a good thing
However, Arcane Lore is actually a book that I never wanted to publish
Because it is much too far out, too speculative to be compared with any of my actual unfinished works
Which I enjoy deeply
*To play,* pare down all the stuff you don't want & throw it away
even if I wrote it
