Myths are Gloranthan fact. The Red Goddess is a Third Age myth, but at Castle Blue she proved that she was there at the Great Compromise. If Grandfather Mortal is a genuine myth, then it can be proven, and if a Mostali HeroQuests to prove that he is not descended from Grandfather Mortal, and that Vivamort's power is limited to Grandfather Mortal's descendants, then that Mostali and his followers could gain immunity from Vivamort's attacks. There is no such thing as "just a myth" in Glorantha, myth is literally life and death and everything in between and beyond.
