That brings up a slightly different question. Spirit ratings for fetishes and spirits aren't allowed to be increased. Is that simply because the player isn't allowed the control neccessary for that to happen, or because it can't happen due to something in Glorantha. That is, does locking a spirit in a fetish or charm sorta prevent them from changing like they were preserved in a jar?

>From another POV, are spirit allies substatively different in terms of their
ability to change, or is it just that the player has more control of these beings? Put yet another way, if the narrator thinks that a spirit in a fetish would have gotten more powerful due to things it had experienced, would it make sense to increase it's ability ratings, or, again, is there something in Gloranthan reality that's preventing this from happening?

Is the limit on spirit changes a Gloranthan limit, or a player limit?
