Emphasis always welcome - anything that the entire royal court of Sartar finds hard going is not "easy" in any normal sense of the word.

But... hang on, I was beginning to think I understood this, and I obviously don't. If it uses the Other Side, surely it's some sort of HQ? You're saying it stays over here, just overlaps the Other Side, so presumably it's "only" Practice level, but its still got to be a HQ of some description?

Or are you using "ceremony" to mean something different from the norm? To me a ceremony is something like, say, when I had my graduation ceremony - we all dressed up in silly clothes, did some lining up and waiting, and some bod in even sillier clothes recited some Latin that he obviously didn't understand (he got it wrong). No use of the Other Side expected, intended, or had the slightest chance of happening. Of course, we didn't have Lunars arriving in the Senate House and trying to kill us, which made life easier :)

Good, that makes more sense and a better plot, but doesn't seem to fit with the idea of it only being a ceremony?
