That works for you. However, we found that people *grasp* characters better with a few keywords or archetypes plus a handful (best is a dozen or less) of additional things (be it notable items, unique relationships, specializations, or whatever). Look at how characters are defined in fiction (or non-fiction for that matter) - they are very rarely long laundry lists of different abilities!

FWIW, I haved used HQ2 mainly long campaign arcs (our gaming group plays on average every week except during vacation time). I have really only discovered how handy it is in one-shots at the last two conventions (Eternal Con and Ropecon)!
