Umbrella keywords and specific ability bonuses

Hello all,

Let's say that that the PCs clan has a tradition of dueling. How would you guys resolve specific ability bonuses in the following situation in the context of umbrella keywords?

PC 1 has the keyword Weaponthane 18. PC 2 has the keyword Member of the Bluejay clan 16 (Dueling +2). PC 1 and PC 2 are involved in a duel. Weapothane is clearly more specifically suited to combat, but does Dueling trump that inside an umbrella keyword?

How about if in a different campaign PC 3 has the keyword Weaponthane 16 (Dueling +2) and PC 4 has Sword Combat 18 -ability? The ability is clearly more specific than the keyword, but does the Dueling ability inside the umbrella keyword trump this?
