Nor do I, but it could be akin to temporary insanity in the case of crimes of passion: "Yes, I did kill Hengall, but was under the influence of an ill wind at the time!" If proven true, and any decent divinatory magic will reveal this, the murder might be written off to tragedy and wergild offered (and possibly accepted) rather than outlawing the culprit. Only in cases of kinstrife can nothing exonerate the murderer.

Interesting. Might make for a fun scenario: there are several deaths during a Murder Fog and the player-heroes must determine which people are guilty of which deaths. Agatha Christie in Glorantha... :)
