Re: Who's Hills?

I would suggest to start with that we narrow it down to those sorts of hills where sheep are raised? And after that, to those where moving them to higher ground for the summer is something that happens, and is a major move, not just two fields away?

I know of this being done in Snowdonia, the Lake District, Scotland (not sure which bits of Scotland, though, and it varies a lot) and the Alps. Also in the Yorkshire Dales. Anyone want to add more? I only know Europe, and not much of that: any Aussies want to tell us about sheep-raising?

We also know that the high Quivin peaks are impassable and in fact unclimbable by normal means. So they're a bit more vicious than anything in the UK, at least in spots.

And we know that it gets seriously cold in winter.

How about the Alps as a model? Never been there myself (plans for the summer will change this), but descriptions look good.
