A quick check shows this list has 587 members, the Digest 701. Now I'm pretty sure that a large number of those are the same people.
At the very least, the idea of discussing the future of the digest in a place where *AT LEAST* 114 people who would be affected won't even know is pretty weird. Anyway, those who are complaining are on the Digest, so will see the discussion fine.
