Another problem, experienced on the very fragemented Legend of the Five Rings clan lists (spread out over a score of lists), may be that the knowlege base becomes scattered as well. Questions are asked on certain clan lists where the folks who know the answer are not subscribed too - the only way to get it answered is to commit the sin of cross-posting which splits the conversations dreadfully.

Just talking from long experience.
