Yes it is. It's also very real. Even in "civilized" Britain, I bet.

The only one who would win a case like this would be the lawyers. Issaries would probably go out of business. If it fought the case in court, they *might* win on legal ground but probably be bankrupted by the effort (lawyers ain't cheap!). If they didn't fight the case, they'd probably just forbid "fan" works set in Glorantha, similar to the MZB story. And then they be bankrupt because the fans would leave in droves. In either case, Glorantha would die. it's a lose-lose situation.

The FPP is an attempt to ensure that this doesn't happen.
