Doesn't she control the air through which she can be seen? That is, cloudless skies? She could well have a few air abilities accessed through one of her other runes (like Sky), the way Barntar farms through Air rune.

While I understand the logic, I think in game terms it makes more sense to use the Beast rune for animal-related magic. I'm also reminded of the illos for the Uralda heroquest in King of Dragon Pass -- though she doesn't get any shape-changing magic, the god-talker still performs some of the stages on all fours, emulating a cow...
So hopefully the pondering will come up with a way to allow the use of this rune without having to associate it with shape-changing. I mean if Barntar can plow the soil with the Air rune...
BTW, I think we were using Death and Balance as Ratakar's runes in our Anadikki game, though we didn't give it a lot of discussion -- certainly those were the runes of the character. Maybe Neil remembers more.
