You're welcome. It just seemed like a reasonable suggestion.

There are lots of places named "New X" where the settlers migrated from X and named the new place after the old place. Moving from the hills to the new hills just follows the pattern.

It's not as exciting as some sort of magical manipulation of the terrain to actually raise new hills from some other terrain, but sometimes simpler works just as well.
