The Dragon Dream is probably different from the dreams as described in the Vithela section of Revealed Mythologies in having a very manifest connection to the Ultimate. The Dream World as mentioned in Arcane Lore and RM is a short world, created by magic of the Inner World.

If there is a rune, it won't be a conduit do the Ultimate/Transcendant.

Failing to produce a new rune, I'd propose to use Illusion - temporary reality.

States of trance are used by the three magic worlds as well (ok, no hard evidence for the essence planes), whether drug induced or otherwise.

Flesh Man is the Lightbringer associated with (disturbing) dreams. Not a cult, though...
