How do we _know_ there is "only one you"? Worse yet, what do you mean by "only one you"? You the ID software person? You the father? You the Gloranthan guru?
I know this may sound silly, but consider the case of a college friend of mine. After she had suffered through a bout of mononucleosis, her personality appeared to change radically. She abandoned _all_ her old friends and found others (with completely different interests). For me, she had become a "different" person, even though the body appeared the same. You might say she is the "same" person, but I include her pre-mono personality in her personhood.
Let's face it - people who don't like relativity in this world also tend not to like it in Glorantha. (Conversely, those who do, do.) I'm not sure it's a good subject for actually convincing others of one's beliefs, although it is fine for a good, old-fashioned argument. (grin)
If you want the argument, then begin by explaining to me how relativistic
dieties in Glorantha "have harmed (IMO) Glorantha" _without_ falling back on
your own prejudices.
(opinions, beliefs, etc.) I'm not convinced it can be done, since taking
beliefs (opinions, etc.) away from the argument appears (to me) to expose the
lack of "One True/Universal Standard" for measuring such things.
