Michael Raaterova wrote of the Seven Darknesses of the Uz. I'd have probably been more prosaic, and had something like

The Darkness Below (the Underworld)
The Darkness Above (i.e. background of sky dome) The Darkness Within
The Darkness Without (the Chaos outside Glorantha?) Half-Darkness (twilight)
Red Darkness (Zorak Zoran's rage?)
Black Darkness (a distinction only trolls could make)

Or, as mentioned, something like the idea that Eskimos have a dozen words for snow.

Note that the Entekosiad is protected by an invocation to Dark Inside.
