Presumably you junk Elder Secrets when it also says that Yelm travels slightly northward in the Summer than in the Winter as that is 'too much like earth'?

FWIW the current theory so far, is that Yelm travels _higher_ in the summer than the winter. Because he is higher and closer to the Sky Dome (which is due to [theory of choice]), he is bigger and brighter whereas in winter, Yelm is lower and the reverse occurs.

But to the observer, because Yelm is bigger in the summer, it looks as though Yelm is closer to where the observer stands. Thus the Genertelan says that Yelm travels Northwards in the Summer whereas the Pamaltelean says that he travels Southwards.
