True for Hermes & Thoth. But not all travellers went in for the alternate name stuff. Before Set was relagated to the 'evil demon' role, he had a prominent role in Egyptian society. He was God of the Wastes (and the gold/silver mines found there), as well as God of Travelers. If an Egyptian was going to Damascus with a caravan, he would pray to Set all along the trip; and foreign merchants were regularly directed to his temple in Alexandria. Is there no Glorantha God of Foreigners/Travelers? (other than Issaries?) Depends on the pantheon, I suppose.

On a completely different subject, I am going to start posting "The Last Icebreaker" soon. I am sort of making it up as I go along, since no one seems to know much about Erigia, Char'un or Kalikos. If anybody would like to make a few suggestions, please speak up! Either here on the Digest, or privately to me.
