Sanctify and temples

Somebody pointed out that it was odd that we played that you could regain divine in a sanctified spot. I think that is how we interpreted the line, "Ceremonies are performable within a Sanctified area that normally can be cast only in temples."

However, after a brief skim through the spells, the only ones I see that are required to be cast in a temple or Sanctified area are Worship and Divination. Looking up the rules for regaining spells, it says merely, "Reusable spells may be remembered by spending one day per point of spell in an appropriate temple. Only one spell at a time can be renewed."

The question is, of course, do you have to go to a Major Temple to regain spells only available there, or can you use a shrine? Can you use a sanctified area? You know, the description doesn't say WHAT you have to do in the temple. We've always assumed you spent a day begging for it back, (With crude jokes aimed at the party Ulerian, of course.) but an argument could be made that you just HAD TO BE THERE.

This has interesting possibilities. Number one, Mistress the Last regains spells just for surviving another day. Doesn't have to sit down and pray, etc. (BTW, she doesn't have sanctify at all, I checked. ;-)) Number two, training (both giving and receiving) could be done in this time. Number three, the spell "Spellteaching" would make sense. Yes, a priest might be able to do it once a day, but it wouldn't require he spend a whole day teaching, then a whole day "renewing" the spell. Let's be honest, Priests have better things to do then kill two days every time some country bumpkin decides he wants a second point of mobility.

Obviously, I'm not saying that's how it SHOULD be or IS, but it's a possibility...
