Given that only Red Goddess Initiates can use Lunar Magic (the use of sorcery-like manipulations of spirit magic) and that they are all Illuminated, is Lunar Magic chaotic? From the stuff in GoG, there's not much that RG initiates deal with that needs the protection/attitude that Illumination gives; at least not more than any other Loonies. The non-Illuminated Lunars also get Chaos Gift, after all. Presumably there's other stuff that's not in GoG.
I once had a Lunar NPC in a combat cast Chaos Gift and rolled randomly (it's Chaos, after all) and the poor guy got "explodes on death" doing damage. Not really useful in combat, but he did nearly kill the PC when he blew up. :)
