"Easy" HQs

No, it's all right, I'll be brief. Honest.

Without quoting specific instances, I recall that people have been debating the extent to which an HQ path having been travelled by other people makes it "easier". Might I make a quick analogy? There are various paths up mountains in Snowdonia, many of which are very popular. But to get to the top of Snowdon, by either one of these paths or by a brand new route, you still have to end up 3000 feet higher than when you started. This is hard work. The difference between being first one up the mountain and 10,000th person up the mountain is that it's quite difficult to get lost on a well-worn path. If you do the HoG by the standard route, you'll be fighting Orlanth. Not Thed, or a dragon. How hard he is to beat is another matter, but when you know your opponent you can prepare better.
