Like Razlakark (sp?) I'd lean toward the "it's academic" view.
She's clearly associated with darkness, spiders, and trolls. Whichever
order or primacy is in that relationship is not something that mortals can
discern. She pretty much is as she wants to be to whomever she is
appearing. If she feels the powers of darkness will most impress a guest,
she'll be that. If being half spider would give her a psychological edge
(or be amusing) in a situation, that's what she is.
