Staying neutral on this argument too, I will note that you can make serviceable artifacts such as carts from small trees; they just look heckuva 'rustic', compared to the products of 'proper' woodworking.
Hrm, no, I won't stay neutral after all: I can't really see them making much use of carts, other than, as noted, for ritual use.
