How do creatures and things fly in (above) Glorantha ?

With answers by Peter Metcalfe (267), Andrew E. Larsen (268), Trotsky (269), Nils W (270), Martin Laurie (270), Philippe Kraits (271) Keith N (271/272).

It is an inherent property of Earth and Water to fall* and of Fire and Light to rise towards the Sky Dome. Air stands in between (Umath separating its parents) The Red Moon merging Earth & Light is in balance.**

What of Darkness & Cold ?
Darkness comes from the Underworld but had to migrate up. So I would put it above above Earth and Water but down oriented, acumulating in low places like shades in Shadow Dance.

Creatures with wings know the "Secret of Flight". Horse lost her flying power when she lost her wings. Who had this secret first ? Like Death is was stolen a lot.

Wingless creature must learn this secret through Heroquesting. They will need wings to fly, either "grown" or imitation. Is it possible to fit Leonardo's machine with that ?

Air worshipper fly by magicaly becoming part of Air and don't need wings.

Mystic may fly by refuting the Earth property to fall or refuting their own material nature.
Could one be the right way (dragon/dragonewt) that give wings, the other one beeing Immanent Mastery or some kind of heresy ?

Flying is possible with Disorder by breaking the rule. Boggles do cross canyons but Trickster usually realize they can't too soon and fall like Coyote.

Lunar fly either themshelves or on Moonboats because they are attracted by the Red Moon in the same way than sea is by the Blue Moon. It is hindered because it is hard to fly away from the Red Moon.
Would the attraction be strong enough to fly outside the Glowline ?

Sky cultists or mystics only levitate up and down as the source of attraction is the hole where the Spike touched the Sky.

Choatic creatures may not fly if wingless.
