Storm Bull != Urox

Howdy all,

I have been spending way too much time on this, but I really don't like the thought that Urox and Storm Bull are not the same beastie. Greg's decree asside, it just don't smell right.

Umath had 5 well known sons (perhaps lots of others too). Two of his brats are obviously theistic (Humakt and Orlanth). Kolat doesn't seem to be this way, in that his "followers" are spirit talkers, not god talkers. I'm OK with this as Umath himself was kinda primal and might not easily fall into any one of those 4 God Learner magic categories, so his kids might not all end up in the same branch of magic.

Now throw in sub cults (a theistic term to be sure) and how they take a "great god" and present small bits that human types can get their minds around.

This got me thinking that Urox the Bull might be one entity that exists in two different magical groups, both the Praxian Waha tradition and the Heortling Orlanthi religion. SB shamans could profit from going to the spirit world inside a Uroxi shrine, but they'd end up on the spirit plane, not the god plane. And the reverse for Uroxi devotees down at the block. Basically spots that are important to one are important to both, but the people aren't interchangeable. A SB shaman couldn't stand in for an Uroxi godi as they don't look at the bull in the same way. But it is only a single bull.

Any thoughts?

PS: This has been going on in the HeroWars list at eGroups, but it has gotten a bit beyond rules and more into "how Glorantha works", so I decided to post over here instead.
