While a familiar line, I don't see how that helps us in Glorantha. The Orlanthi, in particular, are well-documented _not_ to regard 'rape' and 'violence' in the same way, at all. Violence is, proverbially, always an option (therefore extreme violence is just a somewhat more extreme option), but rape will get you lynched, if proved (proven to the satisfaction of the lynch mob, that is).

This is a cultural, rather than a cultic issue, I'd be firmly of the opinion. (Well, beyond the perhaps unavoidable warping effect of gender perceptions.)
