What I have been using, based on what I read in KoS is that a _Household_ is a number of hearths ( families) gathered in a stead and any outlying single hearth farms who recognise the Householder as a leader. These families may come from different bloodlines.
>From what I have read of the Grey Dog material they make no
distinction between household and bloodline.
