The LRP kilt wearers that I know tell nightmare tales of the "pant cancer" that afflicts anyone that wears pants (that's undies, not trousers) under a kilt. And I have photographic evidence of at least one person's refusal to wear anything underneath. But this is LRP, where silliness abounds, so I can't say whether this is true for bona fide kilt-wearers.
