        Its not clear how what exactly this material of Johns represents - it probably represents what happens in SOME part of Pamaltela, but which part? We do know that the Doraddi tribes of Jolar, Kothar, etc practice a variety of different marriage customs in different areas. So don't worry too much about the details of Johns description of marriage customs - it will be different somewhere else anyway.
