Oddly, most of the folks who have long term campaigns seem to think it stands up fairly well. My group has found the evolution from 'cattle theives' to 'clan troubleshooters' to 'clan founders' to 'Kallyr's Boyz' to be fascinating and rewarding.

I can do things in HW that I could not do in RQ and would not have occured for me to do. Suddenly, things like Milisande's hand (a great RQ adventure) take on incredible meaning and become much more important because the rules now actually have bearing on the world around my players.
