Never been necessary with us, we have at least one healer character and one or two followers. Therefore, unless the narrator really hammers the party with Wounds, they can all be healled up at once with no penalties. Nobody carries any penalties from one combat to another, and the healers can go on and on healing ad infinitum (or ad nauseam from the narrator's point of view).

It's not as though healing Wounds was DIFFICULT after all, start with a 1W in First aid and even 5 Wounds disappear with a roll of 16 or less. Maybe if we actually had RULES (perish the Simulationist thought) for the time or actions needed it might make things more dangerous. As it is, if you don't kill 'em, they get up, dust themselves off, and walk on...
